 What kind of rooms does the Antigallican Hotel offer?

The Antigallican Hotel offers single rooms, single en-suite, double rooms, double en-suite, twin rooms, triple rooms, family rooms and dormitories.

 What is the difference between a twin and a double room?

Twin rooms are with two single beds while double rooms have one big bed.

 What is an en-suite and a basic room?

En-suite rooms have their own toilet and shower while basic rooms have a bathroom outside the room to be shared with other guests. We have four common bathrooms to be shared between ten rooms.

 Are the dormitories shared and mixed?

We only have mixed dormitories and they are eight bedded. The toilets, the showers and kitchen facilities are also shared.

 What time can I check in?

The check-in time is from 2:00 pm, but if you come earlier you can always leave your luggage in our luggage storage for free, so you can start discovering London as soon as you get here! Our reception is open 24 hours, so you can check in during the whole night!

 What time do I have to check out?

You can check-out at any time before 11:00am. Late check-outs may incur a charge of an additional night. You can leave your luggage in our luggage room after you have checked out for free and pick it up later at any time, as we are open 24 hours.

 When do I need to pay?

You need to pay your remaining balance upon arrival when you check in, as you have only paid a deposit online or only used your card as a guarantee to secure your booking with us.

 How can I pay at the reception?

You can pay in cash or with credit/debit cards such as Visa or MasterCard. Please note that we do not accept American Express.

 Can I pay in Euros, Dollar?

Payments can only be made in Pound Sterling (GBP).

 Do you have a minimum age restriction?

Minimum age for renting a private room is 16. If you want to book a bed in dormitory you will have to be over 18.

 Can I book a stay for a group?

We will be happy to accommodate your group. Please contact us with your group booking request by email or through the 'group booking' form on our website.

 Is breakfast included?

We do not serve any breakfast but we are happy to suggest a few places close by where you can have breakfast. Alternatively, you may use our kitchen to prepare your own.

 What can I do if I want to extend my stay?

If you want to extend your stay, you have to come to the reception before 11:00 am (check out time) and pay for your new night(s). We will try to book you in the same room in order to make your stay easier.

 Can I book a stay for a group?

 Does The Antigallican Hotel have weekly rates?

Yes, we do offer discounted weekly rates for long term guests. Please see our price list.

 Is there a curfew or lock out?

There is no curfew or lock out. You are able to enter and leave at any time.

 What security do you have?

There are two code entrance doors to the hotel. Our reception is open 24 hours with one of our staff members to ensure that only guests or people with reservations are allowed to entry and to help with any problems that may arise. CCTV cameras cover the hotel, bar and internal common areas. Security lockers are available for hire.

 Do you provide secure lockers?

You can hire a locker at the reception from £1 per day with a £5 security deposit for the locker key, which you get back when you return it. Cheap weekly locker hire also available. Lockers are only available in the dormitories.

 Where can I leave my luggage?

You can leave your luggage in our free luggage store in the reception which is open 24 hours, so you can pick it up any time.

 Is the bed linen provided?

We provide free bed linen and beds are made before your arrival.

 Does The Antigallican Hotel have Internet access?

We provide free WIFI internet access. You can also use our computer in the communal area free of charge. Printing off small documents, such as tickets, is also possible.

 Do you have cooking facilities?

You will find our common room with a TV and a furnished kitchen (oven, stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and freezer, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans…) where you can cook, relax and enjoy the free WIFI.

 Can I wash my clothes in the hotel?

You can come to the reception any time and ask the receptionist to do your laundry. We wash and dry a bag of clothes for £5.00.

 What is your cancellation policy?

If you want to cancel your booking, we require a minimum of 2 days notice before the arrival date. If you fail to give the required notice or, in case of a no-show, you will be charged in full for the first night.

 Do you provide transport to the hotel?

We don't provide transport to or from the hotel, but it's very easy to get there, as we are 1 minute walk from Charlton Train Station, which is 15 minutes from London Bridge Station on the train. From Charlton Station, turn left and cross over the road. The hotel is located on the corner.

 Do you have parking facilities?

We don't have our own parking facilities however, we have a residential car park right in the back of the hotel which our guests may use. Parking there is allowed free of charge from 4.30 in the afternoon until 11:00 of the following morning. It is not possible to park at this car park outside these hours. If this does not suit your needs there is another free car park about 4 minute drive from the hotel. Staff will be happy to give you directions on check in.

 Can I bring friends/family into the hotel?

If you wish to meet someone they will have to come to the reception first to identify themselves with a valid ID (ID card/passport/driving licence). Visitors are allowed in the building between 8 am and 10 pm but not in the dormitories. You are welcome to meet friends in our bar.

 How can I contact a guest at the hotel?

We don't have any phones in the rooms, but you can always call or email us to leave a message for a guest.

 Do you have any smoking areas?

Our hotel is entirely non-smoking as it is prohibited to smoke in public buildings in the UK. We have a designated smoking area in the courtyard but after 10 pm you will have to smoke outside the

 Do you allow pets?

Unfortunately pets are not allowed inside the hotel.
